Friday was Jacob's first day of Kindergarten. He has been looking forward to this day for quite a while.
Jacob had his backpack all packed with his lunch, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, and a peachy folder. I made his lunch, but he selected and packed everything else himself.
It was a beautiful day for a walk to school. We're proud of both of our boys. We can't believe how fast they are growing up.
We walked to school with our good friend and neighbor, Will and his family. Kelly went in to work late so he could join us in taking Jacob to school.
I didn't find out much about what actually happen at school today. I asked him how his day was and he said, "Long! Even longer than church." --emily

I love it "long" that's exactly what Alex said he came home SO TIRED and said that it was SO hard to sit still that long. :)
Cute pics! Is he doing full day? I hope he has a great year!
Funny! It does feel like a long day in the beginning. My boys always seem so wiped out those first few weeks when they get home until they adjust. What an exciting day for a sweet boy!
Just so you know, you will not know much of what happens till the boy is about 25-ish. Oh! Longer than church, that's too long for Grandma too! That's why Kindergartener's are supposed to only go for a half day.
Great pictures.
What a mile stone. Jacob looks so grown up. That is cool that he chose things and packed his backpack himself. It looks like he has sone cool stuff hanging on the back of his pack too. Have a great school year, Jake. You'll have to show me some of your papers when I see you. I'll bet Andrew was missing his brother.
