Mothers Day

Today was the best Mother's day yet!

Yesterday Kelly sent me out to have my toes painted and to an hour of quiet time.

The boys let me sleep in this morning. I love to sleep in. It is one of my favorite things in the world.

Today at church we had a great lesson on " being there." It was about the importance of listening to the promptings of the spirit and living your life to its full potential. It was a feel good-lesson! Also the men served cheese cake during the lesson.

Later this afternoon we had my parents, Joshua and Adrianne over for dinner. Kelly cooked a great meal of chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese, asparagus (thanks Josh), roles, and ice cream (thanks Marks). It was a great meal and good company.

But, the best part of Mother's day is the hand made kid cards. It melts my heart. Thanks Jake and Drew. --emily

Happy Mother's Day Emily. What a special day for a wonderful mom. Your boys are so sweet. Too bad it isn't Mother's WEEK, right?! =)

I'm glad you had a great Mother's Day. Those cards from the boys are DARLING! The kind you could frame or put in a scrapbook.

glad you had a great day! I love the cards. Maddie did the same card for me from nursery except she refused to do the handprints because she didn't want to get dirty. Those are the best gifts though...
