Cubs Game

I have always wanted to attend a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. It is such a historic venue. After Lego Land, Wrigley was the place I most wanted to visit in Chicago. We attended a game Tuesday night.
We got to the stadium super early so that we could walk around and watch batting practice. We all got Cubs hats, and it was t-shirt night, so we got free Cubs t-shirts. The boys enjoyed watching the players warm up.
In this picture the fields man is using a watering can. Emily thought that was so cute.
I remember seeing the "roof top" seats on top of the building across the street from the ball field when I used to watch Cubs games on WGN as a kid. Totally cool. They are more sophisticated now.

I knew the boys wouldn't make it to the end of the game. My goal was to make it through the 5th inning. As you can see from the sign behind us as we walked from the stadium, we made it to the top of the 6th. I'm glad we went to the game.

Wrigley is the most beautiful stadium I have been in. The staff was totally awesome too. They gave Jacob and Andrew certificates to commemorate their first Cubs game. --Kelly

That is totally awesome that you got to go to a Cubs game and even got a free T-shirt. Is that where Farris Bueller went on his day off? Everyone's Cubs ball caps are cool. All you matching guys, you. Did that inspire Jacob with his T-ball to the big boys play?
This is a vacation jam-packed with awesome memories. I'm so happy for your family.

Kelly, glad that one of your dreams came true. There is nothing better than seeing something you loved as a kid in person. Never watched much baseball but those roof top seats are totally cool, most likely started by the neighborhood people who couldn't afford to get into the ball park. What a great day for you and the family!
